Paving the Way — Your Way

How much time do you think you spend on pavement each day? You have to count all the time you're driving — unless you're driving on dirt roads. You also have to count the time you spend walking across parking lots. Pavement is really important. That much is clear. Since pavement is so important, we thought we would start a blog to write a little more about pavement and pavement contractors. They deserve mention, too. They have a hard job and one that requires quite a lot of skill. We'll explain some of the skill behind pavement work on this blog, and we'll also dive into other related topics.

Need To Create A Long Drive But Unsure Of What Material To Use? Porous Asphalt Is The Top Choice Today

When you need a long driveway that covers a lot of area and you are worried about the budget and the environment, porous asphalt is the way to go. This asphalt is going to be affordable, durable, and one of the most environmentally friendly options you can pick.

Talk with the asphalt paving contractors about getting this type of asphalt for your drive, and what the cost will be. Here are some of the reasons why this should be your top choice.

Allows Water Flow

When water hits the porous asphalt, it will be absorbed and then drained through the bottom of the asphalt. This allows water to move through the surface easily, which is great for the local ecosystems. This also means less need for salt or sand in the winter because there will be less water or snow to turn to ice. Less water running off the drive can also prevent flooding and water pooling around the home.

100 Percent Reusable

Porous asphalt is up to 100 percent reusable in the future. After use, or if you wished to have it removed, the old asphalt can be taken and recycled and reused for future asphalt paving. This is why it's one of the most ecologically friendly options when choosing a driveway for your home.

Very Robust

Porous asphalt is one of the most durable and reliable options for a driveway, which is important when you are investing a large amount of money to improve your property. Features of this driveway material include:

  • Can expand and contract with temperature changes to avoid cracks
  • Isn't damaged by UV rays
  • Smooth surface to drive on
  • Quiet when driven on
  • Can be patched, filled, and sealed easily and affordably

The asphalt driveway can last decades if it's maintained properly over time. This durable material is something that you can rely on over time, and it will be a low-maintenance choice.

Asphalt is also an aesthetically pleasing driveway option. Get a couple of different quotes so you can look at the cost comparison, and so you can use them to negotiate the best deal. If the first two quotes are very different from each other, you want to get a third to come up with a more median price.

Make sure that the quote entails all the coverage that you want and have them spray paint or string off what the estimate covers. Get started getting the driveway you want today by contacting paving services near you.
